Mike Freeman

 
Mike Freeman brings fresh, knowledgeable insight on legislation to his clients that is pertinent to their success. He gained his expertise on energy and mining issues by serving as Counsel for the past two and a half years on the House Committee on Natural Resources. In this position, he advised members of the Committee on issues arising under the Federal Land Management and Policy Act, the Mineral Leasing Act, and the Endangered Species Act and numerous other federal energy and environmental laws.

Freeman began on Capitol Hill as the Energy and Natural Resources Counsel to Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT). He assisted the senator in his role as a member of multiple committees dealing with major initiatives including: legislative efforts regarding the regulation of hydraulic fracturing, the licensing of LNG export facilities and energy infrastructure development.

He previously served as Attorney-Advisor at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), where he provided legal counsel concerning the regulation of oil, natural gas and electricity.
